CCI Pest Control Big 4 45 Colt #4 Shot 3722CC Overview

CCI Pest Control Big 4 45 Long Colt 140 grain No. 4 shotshell 3722CC ammo loads the traditional revolver cartridge with a 140-grain charge of coarse pellets. Rather than sending one 45 Colt projectile downrange, it spreads No. 4 shot over a small area for specialized close-range pest work.

The combination of caliber and pellet size is what distinguishes this load. Larger shot can change the balance between pellet count and individual pellet mass, so it is worth checking the actual spread from the revolver you plan to use. CCI specifies 800 fps for this ammo, but a chronograph number cannot describe pattern density on a nearby target.

The 140-grain shot charge makes the ammunition easy to identify among CCI's pest-control variants. Ten shotshells come in a package. Those rounds are meant for a specific problem, not as replacements for conventional lead or jacketed 45 Colt bullets used on paper or in the field.
