The 350-grain weight and jacketed soft-point construction distinguish this hunting load from Magnum Research’s lighter 300-grain JHP offering.

A soft point exposes part of its core at the nose rather than using an open hollow-point cavity. Magnum Research publishes 1,411 fps for this ammunition, which uses nickel cases. That combination of bullet weight, nose construction and factory rating defines the loading more specifically than the caliber’s reputation for high recoil.

A large-bore semiautomatic should be evaluated with the exact feeding profile intended for use, especially when changing from a hollow point to a soft point. The 20-round package supplies this 350-grain ammo for checking magazine function and point of impact. Its jacketed soft-point design is the intended field projectile, not a substitute for verified terminal-performance data.

Magnum Research Key Features

350-Grain Jacketed Soft Point: The heavyweight 50 AE bullet has an exposed lead nose.

Nickel-Case Configuration: Magnum Research specifies nickel cases for DEP50JSP350B.

Listed Speed: The factory muzzle velocity is 1,411 fps.

https://www.sportingsupplygroup.com/products/magnum-research-50-ae-350-grain-jacketed-soft-point-jsp-dep50jsp350b-20-rounds
