Aguila 9mm 124gr JHP 1E092125 Overview
Aguila Ammunition 9mm 124 grain jacketed hollow point 1E092125 ammo uses a cavity-nosed bullet rather than the round-nose FMJ design commonly fired at the range. The 124-grain JHP construction gives this load a defensive role, with the hollow point intended to encourage the bullet to expand under suitable impact conditions.
A listed muzzle velocity of 1,130 fps identifies the load, but velocity by itself does not demonstrate how far the bullet penetrates or how consistently it expands. Those questions require testing with this specific cartridge and appropriate barriers. For a carry pistol, this ammo also deserves a feeding and point-of-impact check rather than an assumption that every 9mm hollow point runs alike.
Maintaining the same bullet weight and hollow-point construction across a longer check can help a shooter evaluate the load in the intended handgun. Aguila packages the brass-cased ammunition in 50-round boxes and lists Mexico as the country of manufacture.
