Hornady Handgun Hunter 9mm +P 115gr SCHP 90281 Overview

Hornady Handgun Hunter 9mm 115 grain solid copper hollow point 90281 ammo uses a lead-free MonoFlex bullet in a +P-marked 9mm loading. Its 115-grain weight is familiar, but a one-piece copper-alloy body with a flexible tip makes the projectile substantially different from ordinary 115-grain FMJ.

The MonoFlex nose uses an elastomer insert to help start expansion, eliminating the need for a separate lead core and jacket. This ammunition is rated at 1,100 fps. The +P marking must be considered on its own: a firearm should be expressly approved for +P before the cartridge is used.

Unlike a round-nose practice bullet, the flexible-tip MonoFlex has a distinct feeding profile and purpose.
