CorBon 9mm +P 115gr JHP 9115 Overview

CorBon 9mm 115 grain jacketed hollow point 9115 ammo is a +P defensive load built around a relatively light 115-grain JHP bullet. The cartridge's higher-pressure designation is an important part of its identity, not a detail to overlook when checking firearm compatibility.

A jacketed hollow point has a cavity designed to encourage expansion, but no handgun load can establish a particular penetration depth merely by having that shape. The pressure class also calls for more than a glance at bullet weight: pistol approval for +P loads should be checked first. This ammo serves a different purpose from ordinary 9mm training FMJ.

Before using it in a carry pistol, confirm that the firearm is approved for +P cartridges and that the JHP feeds and prints as expected. CorBon lists 1,350 fps for the 115-grain load and supplies 20 rounds per box. The defensive ammunition is identified by both bullet style and pressure marking.
