Hornady Custom 45 ACP 200gr JHP 9112 Overview

Hornady Custom 45 ACP 200 grain jacketed hollow point 9112 ammo uses a 200-grain XTP bullet instead of the 230-grain weight associated with conventional 45 ACP hardball. Its protected hollow-point nose gives this standard-pressure load a defensive identity distinct from ordinary FMJ practice rounds.

Within the XTP, jacket thickness changes down the bullet and precise serrations define the nose. Hornady lists 900 fps for this ammunition. A lighter projectile does not by itself establish less recoil or superior terminal results; those questions require the particular firearm and appropriate testing.

Shooters who normally use 230-grain ball can evaluate the 200-grain hollow point without changing the 45 ACP chambering.
