G2 Research RIP 45 ACP 162 grain radically invasive projectile G00002 ammo employs G2's distinctive machined-copper projectile in a 162-grain 45 ACP loading. It differs from a traditional 230-grain jacketed hollow point not only in bullet weight but in its nose, which contains separately formed trocars around a central body.

The RIP construction is based on intended separation of those projecting elements while a base slug remains. That is a different engineering approach from designing one expanded bullet to retain a mushroom shape. The listed muzzle velocity for this ammo is 960 fps. The load must also be distinguished from G2's 164-grain Civic Duty 45 ACP product, which has its own number and published rating.
