Hornady Custom 32 ACP 60 grain jacketed hollow point 90062 ammo combines the compact 32 ACP cartridge with Hornady's 60-grain XTP design. Its conventional open-nose JHP differs from the FTX projectile in the brand's Critical Defense line, even though both are intended for defensive applications in small pistols.
The XTP jacket has controlled thickness and nose serrations intended to direct bullet opening without using an elastomer plug. Hornady lists 1,000 fps for this ammunition. That design distinction matters when evaluating the bullet's feed profile, but the factory number alone does not identify how a particular short-barreled handgun will group or how its bullet will respond on impact.
